College Experience.

At DePauw, I joined the International Students Association(ISA), Association of African American Students(AAAS), Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP), Indiana Reading Corps (IRC), Depauw Gospel Choir and the Depauw Soccer Club.

ITAP:

Information Technology Associates Program (ITAP) has been one of the most influential co-curriculars on my life. It provides DePauw students with an opportunity to link the strengths of whatever field of study they pursue with modern technology. Through training and hands on, real-world experience, students gain incredible command over present day information technology.

ITAP has given me an exposure to information technology in a way that i never expected given my Economics/Psychology major. I have been exposed to web design, programming, and to software and hardware concepts such as trouble shooting and networking.

You can read more about ITAP here. (opens in separate window)

ISA:

I serve on the Programming committee for the International Students Association (ISA) that consists of students from all over Asia, Europe, Africa, North and South America.

It is my duty as a member of this committee to ensure that activities organized by this body are successful.

IRC:

I had the opportunity to closely mentor an eight year old child from Ridpath School, Greencastle. For three weeks i helped this boy with reading, spelling and english grammar. My time as a mentor was enlightening.

SPORTS:
I play for the DePauw Soccer Club as a forward. We currently play against other schools and will join a league by March 2004.
OTHERS:
To have a divierse and all rounded educational experience I joined the DePauw Gospel Choir and the Association of African American Students.
